Sightseeing in LTGood day everybody (again)!Now that I've bought my beautiful big map of your country, is it possible somebody to tell me nice sightseeings in LT generally, since I'll try to drive around the county for my summer vacation ? My tour will start from Siauliai, since my friend is staying there. I've already marked Palanga on my map, for the beautiful beaches (as "Tomasssitas" told me). Hill of Crosses in Siauliai marked too. Thanks again so much !

Mark the road from Jurbarkas to Kaunas wich is going near Nemunas river. Beautiful places and castles are there and also a good road to push hard. Just remember that there is only one gas station at that road, fill it full before giong there .gif)

In Zarasai you can see STELMUŽĖ OAK-TREE This oak-tree is considered to be the oldest in Lithuania and one of the oldest in Europe. Thus, it has probably seen much during the years of its long-lasting existence. Crusaders, swordbearers and armoured Swedish invaders were meticulously watched by the oak-tree. Moreover, the holy fire was kept by the oak-tree; this was how silver-haired Senior priests paid their respect to Gods. Despite the fact that the oak-tree is not very tall, it is very wide, as even eight strongly-built men embrace it with a difficulty. The oak is 23 metres high, whose branches have been writing history in the book of life for more now than 1 500 years. Wow!  tomasssitas thanks ! Worths a visit! I'm impressed zuudikas! BIG thanks for this! Liūtas: For what distance we're talking ? I've counted about 65 km approximately (to go from Kaunas to Jurbarkas).
