Festivalis prasideda penktadienio vakara ir tesis iki sekmadienio popietes. Gyvenimas kempinge. Maista galima paciam gamintis, galima ir vietoj nusipirkt (maista butina uzsirezervuoti is anksto) Bus pristatyta 17 filmu!
Motociklais:
Cycles South (1971)
This film pre-dates Easy Rider and On Any Sunday and trumps both!
Probably the most politically-incorrect road movie you will ever see. Tired of their everyday life of drinking and women-chasing, three guys jump on their BSAs with $300 apiece and ride from Colorado to Panama to indulge in some, er, drinking and women-chasing.

Motosyberia (2007)
Maciek Swinarski is one of the top adventure film-makers in the world today. His latest film is the story of a seriously hardcore motorcycle ride from his native Poland to Magadan in eastern Siberia, and has made him a household name in his homeland. Imbued with a sense of humour so often absent from travel documentaries, Swinarski fully engages with the local people as he and his three travelling companions cross the imposing Russian landmass on their KTM640s. He shares this amazing experience not only with the viewer, but also with the people he meets along the way. Motosyberia is the antidote to the contrived ‘reality’ TV which dominates our screens today – genuine back to basics stuff, real life action, with all the hardship and adventure that entails.

One Man Caravan (1933)
Fascinating footage of one of the world’s first and greatest motorcycle adventures
American Robert Fulton’s legendary journey began in 1932 when he set out on his Douglas motorcycle for an eighteen-month odyssey that took him through Turkey, Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan, India, Sumatra, Malaysia, Siam, Indonesia, China, and Japan. Illustrated with beautiful maps and narrated by Robert Fulton sixty years after his incredible ride, this is an inspiring and insightful film from a true pioneer of motorcycle travel.

Riding Solo to the Top of the World (2006)
Riding Solo is about filmmaker Gaurav Jani’s solo motorcycle journey from Mumbai to one of the remotest places in the world, the Changthang Plateau in Ladakh bordering China. The film is even more extraordinary for the fact that Jani was a one man camera crew unit who loaded his bike with 300 kg of equipment/supplies and set off on a journey through some of the world’s most difficult terrain. Riding Solo has collected 11 awards at 21 different film festivals around the world. Unpretentious, sensitive and modest in equal measure Jani and his film are a refreshing alternative to today’s TV travel shows.

The Rugged Road (1935)
Thirty-five amazing minutes of the first ever motorcycle trip across Africa by Theresa Wallach and Florence Blenkiron.
In 1934 two English women, Theresa Wallach and Florence Blenkiron set off from London to ride to Cape Town in a motorcycle sidecar outfit pulling a trailer. Nobody had ever attempted such a trip before and there were plenty of doom-mongers who predicted they would fail. They were wrong. The women overcame breakdowns in the Sahara, rebuilt the entire engine in Agadez, and even managed to have a crash in Tanzania with the only car they had seen in days! But they made it. Fortunately for us, they also managed to film this wonderful black and white 16mm footage of their incredible adventure.

Vandeniu:
The Headless Valley (1957)
A 1950s married couple take an extreme canoeing trip into the Northwest Territories with not a scrap of Goretex in sight…
In 1957 Melvin and Ethel Ross of Calgary, Canada, travelled alone by canoe through one of the roughest and remote areas of the world to reach their destination of the Headless Valley in the Canadian Northwest Territories. Not only is the journey itself truly remarkable, the fact that they filmed it all so beautifully on 16mm while tackling such challenging conditions leaves you in awe of this seemingly ‘normal’ married couple. Never a grubby shirt collar or a hair out of place, Mr and Mrs Ross don’t let anything faze them and even manage to rustle up a strawberry shortcake (with cream) on their campfire.

Yenisey River Expedition (2001)
If you want tough, this is it. It’s hard to say what’s more impressive, this breathtakingly adventurous expedition or the sheer skill and tenacity required to film it so superbly.
It’s not all about engines at the Adventure Travel Film Festival. The Yenisey River Expedition charts the first ever descent, from source to sea, of the 3440 mile Yenisey River, set against a backdrop of fairytale cultures and forbidding wilderness. The Yenisey rises in the heart of Mongolia and flows north, through Siberia, and into the Arctic Ocean. It is the fifth longest river on the planet, and at the arrival of the new millennium no one had ever navigated its entirety. Colin Angus, along with his adventuring friends, Ben Kozel, Remy Quinter and Tim Cope, endeavoured to be the first to run the Yenisey using kayaks, an inflatable raft, and eventually a wooden boat they found abandoned on the shore of Lake Baikal. The Yenisey is frozen for more than half the year, so the small team had just a five-month window to accomplish this feat. Dramatic footage captures their successful journey and provides an intimate, and often entertaining perspective of a frozen nation emerging from the collapse of communism.
